The former captain of the English side is also of Indian origin. He was born in India itself, hailing from Madras. His father was a Tamil-speaking Muslim and the entire family left for England when Nasser was just seven.

Nasser Hussain made his debut in 1989 in an ODI match against Pakistan. He didn’t have to wait much for his Test debut either as he made his first appearance in the longest format one year later. Nasser Hussain continued playing for 15 years to follow his debut in international cricket.

He also led the English side for a couple of years. Having played 96 tests, he was one of the most successful batsmen of England in their entire cricketing history. But how many of you knew he was born in India only?
