6. Niroshan Dickwella (wk) (Sri Lanka)
Niroshan Dickwella emerged as a brash and outlandish cricketer ever since he forayed into international cricket for Sri Lanka. He has had an impressive run in 2017 as he was Sri Lanka’s highest run-scorer in with 233 runs in nine games at a strike-rate of 141.21.
His top-score of the year came against South Africa at the Newlands in Cape Town where he notched 68 runs off 51 balls. The knock helped the Lankans beat South Africa and subsequently earned Dickwella the Man of the Match award.
Thereafter, he has got starts but hasn’t been able to convert them into something substantial. The wicket-keeper batsman recently played a three-match T20I series against India at Cuttack, Indore and Mumbai. Overall, he has been an asset to the Lankan side in the current year.
