7. Mohammad Nabi (Afghanistan)
Mohammad Nabi has been an integral part of Afghanistan’s rise in world cricket. He has had an impressive run with the national team in 2017. In 10 games, the all-rounder has scored 209 runs at a blistering strike-rate of 175.63. He started the year with a Player of the Match performance against Ireland at Abu Dhabi.
He nipped out a couple of wickets and then scored 26 off 17 balls to take Afghanistan past the finishing line. During Ireland’s tour of India, Nabi smashed his way to a whirlwind knock of 89 runs off 30 balls, which included nine massive sixes.
The batting masterclass also became the highest individual score by a batsman at No. 6 or lower in T20Is. He has also picked up nine wickets with best bowling figures of 4/10 against Ireland at Dubai.
