5) Ajinkya Rahane
There is no doubt that the Indian cricket will be a little disappointed with the growth of Ajinkya Rahane in the international circuit. After enjoying a run-feast in the initial years the right-hander has gone quiet in recent times. Still, the Indian team has trusted his capabilities and retained him as the deputy of Virat Kohli in the classic format.
The reason being his composed personality which is expected to aid the team in difficult circumstances. He is one of the toughest characters who has often stood up for the team in crunch situations. The prime examples are his Test century at Lord’s and his innings of 79 against South Africa in the 2015 World Cup.
In addition to that, Rahane is a complete team man. He has always accepted the various challenges thrown at him. It can be also validated from his white-ball career where he has batted at different positions as per the needs of the team. Above all, Rahane never gets irritated when he is wrongly drooped from the team and tries to improve his game rather than blaming the system. In a true sense, he has followed the footsteps of his idol, Rahul Dravid which has made him a fan-favorite in the cricketing circle.
