The Australian batsman is one of the few SENA cricketers who have not faced many problems whilst batting in the subcontinent. His unorthodox style of batting is a source of headache for many bowlers across the world. He is one of the most consistent batsmen across all formats in the modern era.

He made his debut as a leg-spinner and was initially touted as the next Shane Warne.
