Iqbal Abdulla was a member of the 2008 Under-19 World Cup-winning Indian team in Malaysia. He played with Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Manish Pander, and Siddharth Kaul in that tournament. Iqbal Abdulla has been playing IPL from the first season and is a familiar name for cricket fans. He is a left-handed lower-order batter.

He plays domestic cricket for Mumbai and has been there for a long time. He made his debut for Mumbai in 2007 in domestic cricket. In 2016, he decided to part ways with Mumbai in domestic cricket and moved to Kerala. He again came to play for Mumbai in 2017 after spending two years with Kerala. He was Mumbai’s leading wicket-taker in the 2010-11 domestic season.

He was a draft pick of Kolkata Knight Riders for the inaugural IPL season in 2008. He was there for a long time. He played six IPL seasons for KKR before getting picked by Rajasthan Royals in 2014. In 2015, RCB bought him in the auction. He executed some good performances for RCB between 2015 to 2017. He got released by RCB before the 2018 season and he has not got an IPL contract after that.
