The Delhi Daredevils opener lit the tournament on fire by scoring the first century of the season. His knock of 108 that came off just 51 balls stunned the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the early days of the tournament. The South African wicket-keeper was at the 9th spot among the leading run-getters in the season after the league stages. He mustered 445 runs in 13 matches at an average over 37 and strike rate close to 136. He remained the highest run scorer for his team and had there not been a couple of umpiring bloopers against him, he would have surely crossed the 500-run mark.
