Bhuvneshwar Kumar heaps praise on MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, also picks between Messi and Ronaldo

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also one of the many players who are eagerly waiting for the thirteenth edition of the IPL to commence. Bhuvneshwar, who is an integral part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad dugout, was also a part of India’s squad when they were slated to face South Africa in an ODI encounter at Dharamsala in March.

However, the ODI was called off due to rain and the subsequent matches of the series were also cancelled in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, many India stalwarts including Bhuvneshwar have been away from international action. 30-year-old Bhuvneshwar was also expected to play a crucial role in SRH’s title heist in the indefinitely-postponed IPL 2020.

In the absence of cricketing action, the pacer recently braced Instagram to conduct a Q&A session. Along with heaping praise on his teammates, he also spilled beans on many personal preferences.

Talking about his favourite Bollywood actor, Bhuvneshwar chose veteran Akshay Kumar, who is known for his rib-tickling comedy and social message films. Furthermore, the India international also chose a side amid the never-ending ‘Messi vs Ronaldo’ debate. He picked the name of Lionel Messi among the two football superstars.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar calls Yuvraj Singh a ‘fighter’

Bhuvneshwar’s career has been hampered by a series of injuries in recent times. He didn’t have a perfect start to 2020 as he had to undergo a sports hernia surgery in January.

Since then, his prime focus has been to cement his place for India’s T20 World Cup 2020 squad. Providing an update over his injury, Bhuvneshwar said that he is fit and fine now to brace the field. Talking about his stint with Team India, the pacer has scalped over 200 wickets while donning the national jersey in 21 Tests, 114 ODIs and 43 T20Is.

The Meerut-born pacer also heaped praise on his former and current teammates. Talking about former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, Bhuvneshwar said that Yuvi is a fighter and an inspiration for everyone.

Furthermore, Bhuvneshwar also dished out praise for two illustrious skippers of Indian cricket– MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. While one is known for his composed and cool attitude, the other is known for his fiery and never-look-back approach.

Bhuvneshwar termed Kohli ‘GOAT’ (Greatest of all time) when a fan asked him to say one word about the current India skipper. When another fan asked him to say something for the former India skipper MS Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar said that the Jharkhand stalwart is a legend but an even better human being.
