The premier of the popular reality television show Bigg Boss 12 is here and if the teasers are anything to go by, a former Indian international cricketer is set to make his appearance. On Saturday, the makers of the show released a video featuring the first two participants and besides the cricketer, the other is a TV actress. The popular show, which is anchored by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, will begin from Sunday.
The former cricketer who is set to enter the Big Boss House is S Sreesanth, the former fast bowler from Kerala who was known for his on-field antics. Colors TV’s Twitter handle also released a short video with the caption: “#BiggBoss12 ke ghar mein aa raha hai cricket ka ek superstar, girane sabka wicket. 16th September se har raat 9 baje. #BB12.”
Colors also released a short clip of the cricketer where Sreesanth could be heard saying, “For me, life was always a cricket field, but now I want to be the king of the Bigg Boss house.”

A member of two world-title winning squads
The right-arm fast bowler who made his international debut in 2005, played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is for India taking 169 international wickets with four five-wicket hauls. He was a member of the squads led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni that lifted the World T20 title in 2007 and the ICC World Cup in 2011.
The player was known for his controversies and the biggest of them all came up in the spot-fixing scandal in the Indian Premier League 2013 after which he was banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for life.
Sreesanth also joined politics when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in March 2016 to contest the Assembly elections in his home state Kerala. He, however, lost from Thiruvananthapuram. The former cricketer also stole the limelight recently for his body-builder’s looks and now with him set for an appearance in the popular TV show, we might expect Sreesanth opting for a career in the glamour world.
