'Big hug and much love especially to your lil princess' - Priyanka Chopra sends love to Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were finally blessed with the much-awaited happiness on January 11, 2021 as they became parents to a little angel. The lovely couple had tied the knot with each other in a private ceremony in Italy on December 11, 2017. The Bollywood actress was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital according to reports on Monday.

Virat and Anushka had revealed the news of them expecting their first child in August 2020 before the batsman started his trade for franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. The adorable couple have taken a break from their respective careers to spend some quality time with their little one.

While Anushka has been on a nearly two-year sabbatical from acting, Virat returned back to India after playing in the first match of the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in Adelaide. The skipper led the team in ODIs and T20Is along with the first Test and passed on the responsibility of donning the captain hat for the remaining three Tests to Ajinkya Rahane.

Virat Kohli himself took to Twitter to reveal the good news as he thanked the fans for all the love and prayers. The 32-year-old also informed that both the mother and the baby are healthy.

“We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you for all the love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat,” his tweet read.

As the news went viral, social media was flooded with congratulatory messages for the adorable couple along with good wishes for the new-born. Colleagues of both Virat and Anushka reacted on the post of the cricketer as they extended their warm wishes to the little angel.

Actor Priyanka Chopra was not behind as she also expressed her happiness and sent her warmest wishes to the celebrity couple. Reacting to Virat’s post announcing his daughter’s birth, Priyanka wrote, “Sooo happy for you guys. Congratulations Anushka and Virat. Big hug and much love especially to your lil princess. @anushkasharma @virat.kohli.
