'Big round of applause'- Rohit Sharma hails Mumbai police for their efforts amid Coronavirus outbreak

Coronavirus outbreak has forced the police officials to work round the clock to keep control over the situations. They are responsible to restrict the people from roaming in the streets until lockdown comes to an end. Ever since pandemic has come into the picture the police force is working day in and day out to protect every individual from getting effected with COVID-19. And, Rohit Sharma is overwhelmed by the efforts of every officer and applauded their work on the social media.
COVID-19 has led to the death toll increasing with each day passing and until now more than 1 Lakh people have lost their lives across the world. Narendra Modi, the honourable Indian Prime Minister announced a 21-day lockdown from March 24 after which the officials strictly prohibited any type of social gathering or event in the country.
Moreover, Maharashtra is the worst affected state in India with more than 1500 cases. Mumbai alone has witnessed more than 1000 cases so far and the police in the city is working hard to make sure that the Coronavirus chain breaks.
Rohit Sharma impressed with the work of police
They have taken strict action against the people, who tried coming out of their houses or caught roaming on the roads without any valid reason. Now, Rohit Sharma, the Indian opener took to his official Twitter handle and shared a clip in which police jeeps and officers can be spotted, who were checking if every part is secured.
The 32-year-old looked quite happy and applauded their work. In his post, he wrote, “Big round of applause to @MumbaiPolice for working round the and making sure every single part of Mumbai is covered. It’s our duty to help them too by doing a little favour- STAY INDOORS.”
Earlier, Rohit Sharma had donated a total of INR 80 lakh in the fight against Coronavirus. He gave a donation of 45 Lakhs to PM-Cares Relief Funds, 25 Lakhs to CM-Relief Funds, INR 5 Lakhs to to Zomato Feeding India initiative and INR 5 lakhs to provide aid for the welfare of stray dogs.
