Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad has been frequently making the headlines in recent times, especially after his tirade against the Pakistan management and the board for dropping him from the national team. He has once again grabbed the attention as he said that he wants Hollywood star Brad Pitt to play his character in his biopic.

It was during an interview with Pakistani journalist Syed Yahya Hussaini that the Pakistan batter answered who he thinks can play his character best. Shehzad currently plays in the Pakistani domestic circuit after being dropped from the national team in 2019.

Kaun sa adaakar aapke khayal mein jo Ahmed Shahzad ke character ko ache tareeke se kar sakta hai?” asked Hussaini (Who do you think can play your character the best in a movie?).

The Pakistan opener, with a straight face and a nod of head, said, “Brad Pitt”.

A video clip of Shehzad answering the question was posted on Twitter by Hussaini from his official handle, and fans simply could not help but see the funny side of it. “Is it because Brad Pitt is not very good at Cricket??,” commented a user. “He’s right…. It needs great acting skills to play his role which was full of acting,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, Shehzad recently claimed that former bowling coach Waqar Younis hurt his career as he submitted a report to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2016, expressing that Umar Akmal and Shehzad should return to domestic cricket and earn their places back in the national team.

“I have not seen the report myself, but a PCB official told me that these remarks have been said regarding me. But I believe that these things should be discussed face-to-face, and I am ready to take on that challenge. Then we will see who is right and who is wrong. Their words hurt my career, especially since I was not allowed to present my case. This was a pre-planned approach, and they wanted to kill two birds with one stone,” Shehzad was quoted saying in an interview with Cricket Pakistan.
