Blast outside Kabul Stadium amidst Shpageeza Cricket League match

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is hosting the Shpageeza Cricket League, their domestic Twenty20 tournament in Kabul. Amidst the match between Boost Defenders and Mis Ainak Knights, there was a blast outside the stadium in the national capital of Afghanistan which caused a panic. The match was immediately stopped and the ACB has reportedly confirmed that all the players inside the stadium were safe.
News agencies confirmed that it was indeed a blast and police officials were already on their way to investigate further into it. There was no immediate information available about the intensity of the blast and if there were any casualties. A few reports suggested that the blast was right outside one of the gates of the stadium.
1TVNewsAF quoted Afghanistan Interior Ministry stating that it was a suicide bomb blast which killed three people including a police and two civilians, injuring five. The Ministry also confirmed that no cricketer or spectator was hurt in the blast.
The match was stopped for less than half an hour before resuming, and the action is underway right now.
