4. Trent Boult
Trent Boult is a left-arm quick who is regarded by Sir Richard Hadlee as one-half of the greatest new-ball duo in New Zealand history. He can move the ball both ways, even in unresponsive conditions, and poses a serious threat to batters worldwide. He was recognised as the nation's quickest secondary school bowler at the age of 17. He was playing for New Zealand in the Under-19 World Cup a year later.
After making the switch to the international scene, he established himself as one of New Zealand's key players in all formats and was a major factor in the team's 2015 World Cup victory. Taking 17 wickets, Boult was once again outstanding in the 2019 World Cup, leading New Zealand's attack.
