The Chittagong Vikings and Comilla Victorians will face off in the last game of the first-leg matches in Dhaka as the tournament will be played in Sylhet during the next week. Both Vikings and Victorians had a similar start to the season as they won their first match, lost the second and won their third fixture. Chittagong defeated Rangpur in their first match before losing to Sylhet Sixers by five runs and involved in a Tie against Khulna.

Robbie Frylinck, the main man from Vikings, has performed in all three matches with both bat and ball thus far. The Victorians sneaked a thriller against the Sixers before getting rolled over by Rangpur to just 63 runs. They bounced back with a comfortable five-wicket win against Rajshahi. Liam Dawson’s inclusion has strengthened already strong bowling. Imrul Kayes might continue leading them as Steve Smith is expected to undergo a surgery on his elbow that could put him out of action for about six weeks.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The organizers talked about the slow tracks during the first four matches and expect a change on Friday where a sold out crowd is expected. The night matches in Dhaka have always been high-scoring over the last one year except for those in the ongoing BPL edition.

Steve Smith of Comilla is expected to out of action for six weeks. Shoaib Malik of Comilla might/might not play this game before joining the Pakistan ODI squad.

Power Picks:

The young off-spinner Nayeem Hasan recently became the youngest player to bag a five-wicket haul on Test debut. Opening the bowling in the BPL, the 18-year-old has quickly adjusted to the format. He has picked four wickets from three matches by keeping things tight.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

There is no one in this tournament who have come close to Robbie Frylinck in terms of performance and consistency thus far. The all-rounder has contributed to the Vikings in both the departments. He has to be picked up as captain or at least as vice-captain. The likes of Shahid Afridi and Cameron Delport can also be trusted for multiplier roles.

Playing XI #1 for Head to Head/Small Leagues:

Keeper – Mohammad Shahzad

Batters – Laurie Evans, Tamim Iqbal, Evin Lewis, Cameron Delport

Expert Advice:

As at the time of writing this report, there was no update on whether the Sri Lankan players will be returning and joining their respective BPL sides. As many as three players from both the sides were part of Sri Lanka’s tour of New Zealand. Picking them will be a huge risk but could pay off if they reach by morning and decide to play the game at night despite being jet lagged.

Probable Winners:

The Chittagong Vikings are expected to get better of the Comilla Victorians and bag their 3rd win of the season.
