Brad Hogg names his top five yorker specialists in international cricket

At a time when the whole world has come to a standstill due to coronavirus debacle, sportspersons including cricketers have resorted to social media for spending their idle time. In their quarantine period, several cricketers have been spotted conducting Twitter Question & Answer sessions or doing Instagram live with teammates.

The much-awaited IPL 2020 has also been postponed indefinitely to tackle the spread of COVID-19. Meanwhile, several cricketers including Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Krunal Pandya and Wasim Jaffer have conducted Q&A session on Twitter. Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg, who is quite active on Twitter, recently answered questions of many fans.

Hogg picked his top five yorker specialists in the world, at the moment while answering the question of a particular fan. “Who do you think are the top five yorker bowlers in world cricket right now? #Hoggytime,” asked a fan. Hogg named Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Starc, Lasith Malinga, Haris Rauf and Chris Jordan. “Off the top of my head. Bumrah, Malinga, Starc, Rauf, Jordan,” responded Hogg.

Brad Hogg also named the best impact bowler

All five bowlers possess the ability to wreak havoc on any opposition with their toe-crushing yorkers and impeccable accuracy. Hogg was also asked to name the best left-arm pacer amongst Trent Boult, Neil Wagner and Mitchell Starc. Responding to the fan’s question, the Australia veteran said that he considers Mitchell as the impact bowler amongst the three choices.

While Hogg heaped praise on Boult’s swinging ability and Wagner’s stamina, he opined that Starc is the best impact bowler between the trio. “Trent Boult most skill swinging the ball consistently, Neil Wagner best stamina, Starc best impact bowler between the three. I would love to have all three in my XI,” tweeted Hogg.

In his illustrious career spanning over 123 ODIs, Hogg scalped 156 wickets including 3 four-wicket hauls and 2 five-wicket hauls. He also plied his trade in IPL where he donned the jersey for Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders.
