'Break the beard Mahi' - Fans urge MS Dhoni to shave off his white beard and make a comeback
After seeing the ageing look of the superstar, one of his fan pages of Instagram has now suggested MS Dhoni to shave his beard off.
Recently, a few videos started surfacing on the internet in which Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen. But, the veteran wasn’t looking like his own self in those videos. The Jharkhand stalwart seemed to have grown a white beard during this lockdown and seemed much older than a 38-year-old guy.
After seeing him this way, his fans seemed very disappointed as it looked like the ageing warrior is close to his retirement. While other cricketers are spending time in grooming themselves during this lockdown, the former Indian skipper hasn’t that done at all. The southpaw has been spending the quarantine time in Ranchi home with his wife, Sakshi Dhoni and daughter Ziva.
Fans suggest MS Dhoni to shave off beard and silence haters
After seeing the ageing look of the superstar, one of his fan pages of Instagram has now suggested MS Dhoni to shave his beard off. The fan page urged the former skipper to shave his beard off and make a comeback into the Indian team.
Fans expressed their disappointment on all the rumours in the media, which say that the wicketkeeper-batsman should retire from the game now. According to die-hard Dhoni fans, it will be a perfect move by the veteran to shave off his beard and play the ‘winning stroke’.
In fact, Dhoni’s mother has also reacted to her son’s image with the grey beard. In an interaction with BDcrictime, she said that he is not old enough for that grey beard look. “Yes, I have seen his new look but he is not that old. No child is ever old for any mother,” Devaki Devi said.
Dhoni has not played for the Indian team since the last year’s World Cup semi-final. There were talks that he will be back for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia. However, the coronavirus pandemic has put a question mark to that as well. There have been rumours that the tournament could be shifted to 2022.
It is very unlikely that the veteran of 350 ODIs will play till 2022. He was likely to make a comeback to competitive cricket with the IPL 2020. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no certainty over the same.
