Brett Lee, Jonty Rhodes, Liam Plunkett, Ajantha Mendis to feature in Legends League Cricket season 2

New Delhi, July 11, 2022: Legends League Cricket has further added legendary players like Brett Lee (Australia), Liam Plunkett (England), Joginder Sharma (India), Albie Morkel (South Africa), Jonty Rhodes (South Africa), Ajantha Mendis, Dilhara Fernando (Sri Lanka) to its list.

Just to highlight, three World Cup winning bowlers have been added to the list. This includes Brett Lee, Joginder Sharma and Liam Plunkett. Earlier last week iconic players like Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Monty Panesar, Pravin Tambe, Naman Ojha, S. Badrinath, Stuart Binny, S Sreesanth, Misbah-ul-Haq, Asghar Afghan, and Kevin O’Brien confirmed their participation in the second season of Legends League of Cricket.

Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO, Legends League Cricket said, “with these  additions our second season is becoming bolder and bigger. With great pleasure we welcome them to the Legends family and looking forward to witness their magic on field at LLC Season 2.”

Virender Sehwag said “I love to be on the Cricket field. I missed the playing 1st season of LLC but it would be great to go back into the field with the LLC season 2.”

Irfan Pathan said, “Excited to announce that I’ll be back in action playing Legends League Cricket in September. Aur iss baar kuch naya bhi hone wala hai. So, I am really looking forward to be in Oman.”

Yusuf Pathan said, “Practice makes you perfect. And I’m perfecting my shots for action-packed season 2 of the Legends League Cricket. It was fun in January, and I am getting ready for September.”

Muralitharan said “It would be great to go back into the field with the LLC season 2. We loved it during season 1 and now with new format, it would be more exciting”.

Kevin O’Brien, former Ireland all-rounder said, “We had a great Season 1 at Oman as part of the World Giants Team. Now with the new format, I look forward to be a part of one of the franchisees and play the Season 2.”

The first season of Legends League Cricket had former cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, and England, among other cricket nations divided into three teams representing India, Asia, and the Rest of the World. Cricket fans all across the world saw the Legends of Cricket. The LLC second season will be played from September 20, 2022, to October 10, 2022.
