Brett Lee, one of the best fast bowlers in the world cricket, has revealed that he loved to hear the sound of the ball hitting the wickets of Sachin Tendulkar. The face-off between both the legends of cricket was a treat to watch during their playing days. The Australian loves India and its culture and is in the country most of the times. Also, he is a wonderful person apart from a cricketer and is loved by the Indian cricket fans a lot.

Lee is currently in India as a part of the commentary team in the ongoing ODI series between India and Australia. Despite the struggles of the visitors he has kept supporting his countrymen and they finally came good on Thursday and defeated India by 21 runs to stage a belated comeback in the series. Though, the former fast bowler believes they have a lot of potential in them and is hoping that they will make it 3-2 in the series by winning the last match in Nagpur.

Didn’t like to hear the call of no-ball

Brett Lee is the brand ambassador of the ‘Global Hearing’ project of the Kerala Government. He made some interesting revelations while speaking to the young children who suffer from hearing problems and are part of the Cochlear Implantation programme. While he said that he always loved the sound of the ball hitting the wickets of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, he also hated the sound of the umpire calling no-ball. The bowler had bowled quite a few no-balls in his illustrious career.

“The sound that I do not wish to hear is when the umpire calls a no-ball,” said Lee, as quoted by IANS. Lee also said that his son has now been fully cured of the hearing issues he had and it was after his son had hearing problems he decided to be associated with programmes on hearing. “Feels amazing to see the progress in Kerala on the New Born Hearing Screening mandate in all,” the great bowler wrote on his official Twitter handle after the function.
