The former Australian cricketer, Cameron White continued his destructive batting form in the JLT One-Day Cup like he performed in the limited-overs games during the 2016/17. The Victorian batsman was the highest run-getter in the Matador One-Day Cup, 2016 with 457 runs at an average of 76.16 and a strike rate of 99.34. In the 2nd game of the ongoing JLT Cup, White recorded the highest individual score by a Victoria batsman in List A cricket.
After electing to bat first, the Victoria side posted a big total of 325/6 against Tasmania with Cameron White scoring 165. He opened the innings for his team and got off the mark with a boundary on the 10th ball he faced. He brought up his fifty in 70 balls and took another 50 balls for the hundred. In the last 34 balls, White hit 65 runs to end up with 165 off 154 balls with 16 fours and six sixes that cleared the big boundaries at the Perth.
With his knock, White broke the existing record of highest individual score in List A format for Victoria held by Aaron Finch with 154 in 2012. White came close to Finch’s record in the previous season itself with the 145-run knock at the same venue which was then the 2nd highest individual score for Victoria.

White’s innings also finds a place in the highest individual scores recorded at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground (WACA) in Perth as only six batsmen have managed to score 150+ in an innings including White in the 251 List A matches. David Warner’s 178 in the 2015 World Cup is the highest while Rohit Sharma came close to that with his unbeaten 171 during the bilateral series last year.

The number of maximums Cameron White during this innings is also the joint 2nd most by any player in a List A innings at this venue. Glenn Maxwell during the 2015 World Cup game and Rohit Sharma during his 171* hit seven sixes each.
