Big players always perform on the biggest stages and David Warner‘s status is slowly transcending from a superstar to a legend of the game. The extremely talented southpaw registered a spectacular century on his 100th appearance in ODIs and his wife Candice Warner was over the moon.

Candice took to Twitter to express her elation and definitely, she was overwhelmed with her husband bashing a hundred on a landmark appearance. Her Tweet read, “100 in your 100th ODI match. Super proud of all you achieve. Your girls love you!” She sent her best wishes on behalf of her their daughters Indi Rae and Ivy Mae.

David Warner’s flight took off immediately as he wasted no time settling in. He was at his fluent best during the whole course of the game and his partner in crime Aaron Finch was not far behind as well. The duo also registered the highest partnership by any pair at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and Warner completed his 14th century in ODIs. This also happens to be his 9th since 2016, which throws light on the brilliant form he has been in from the last 18 months.

First Hundred in India for David Warner

As amusing as it sounds, this is the first time David Warner has scored a hundred in India in any format. He wasn’t an integral part of the unit which toured India for a seven-match series in 2013, but over the years, he has improved quite brilliantly. His quandaries on turning tracks slowly started to come to an end and that didn’t happen with luck.

He worked incredibly hard in the last few months, trying to adjust his technique to get adapted to the sub-continent conditions. The results were clear as well, as he managed to score two centuries in Bangladesh just before coming to India. A hundred against India in India is always special and it’d be fair to say, he is as good as any other cricketer in the fraternity as of now.
