‘Can’t remember the last time I saw him stay at home for this long’ – Sourav Ganguly’s wife Dona talks about their quarantine time at home
Ganguly has been spending a lot of time on Netflix along with loved ones.
Sourav Ganguly, the former India captain and BCCI president, has been spending most of his time at home. The COVID-19 pandemic has kept the people indoors and Dona Ganguly, Sourav’s wife, can’t recall the last time when she saw him stay at home for a long period. Dada, being at the helm of India cricket, was supposed to have a packed schedule, but the current scenario has halted his work.
Dona, who’s a proficient dance teacher, said the coronavirus outbreak has changed their day-to-day schedule in a drastic manner. To start with, the family was relieved with the break from the hassles of life. But now they are worried as the situation isn’t showing signs of an improvement.
However, Dona has kept her fingers crossed and believes that India can turn around like China. About Ganguly, she said that the Prince of Calcutta has been watching movies, hitting the gym, and having conversations at home to keep himself busy.
Have watched almost all movies on Netflix: Sourav Ganguly’s better-half
“Can’t remember when was the last time I saw Maharaj (Sourav) stay at home for this long. He has a chock-a-block schedule throughout the year and has to tour a lot. But now he is waking up late in the morning. Sometimes he’s hitting the gym, but most times he’s at home, watching movies, chatting with us,” Dona was quoted as saying to ABP Ananda.
“Have watched almost all movies on Netflix. Got to watch ‘Article 15’ today. Earlier, Sana used to watch them on the mobile app and we weren’t much into it. But now, we all are watching. Yesterday, we watched ‘The Break-Up’. If we are liking something then, we are passing on our suggestions to the others,” she added.
Their daughter Sana is taking some useful tips about cooking since she will be going abroad in the near future for her further studies. Sourav’s elder brother Snehasish Ganguly has also been assisting her to be a proper chef.
