Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar took to Instagram and posted a video of the dance performed by the South African hotel staff.
The Indian cricket team left South Africa after spending 5 weeks in the land of the Proteas. And, the staff in the hotel at which the Indian cricket team stayed performed a local dance to give a farewell to the ‘Men in Blue’.
Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar took to Instagram and posted a video of the dance performed by the South African hotel staff. Chahar thanked the hotel staff for their gesture.
“Thank you so much guys and South Africa for some wonderful memories,” read the caption on the story posted by Deepak Chahar on Instagram.
South Africa whitewashed India in the three-match ODI series
The Indian side suffered a miserable 0-3 loss at the hands of the South African side in the three-match ODI series between the two sides. The Proteas proved to be superior to the Indian side in all departments of the game.
This three-match rubber was the first series that India played in the ODI format after Virat Kohli was removed as the skipper of the Indian side. Earlier, even in the three-match Test series that preceded the ODI series, the Indian side lost by a margin of 1-2.
Also, former Pakistan pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar feels that India were humiliated by South Africa. Akhtar reckons that India’s loss to the Proteas is demoralizing, and also added that the Indian cricket team will have to regroup. The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ concluded by stating that he did not see a collective team effort from the Indian side on their tour to South Africa.
“The recent performances have left India humiliating. I don’t think the Indian team should be losing to such a South Africa team, that too in a demoralizing manner. Moving ahead from this point, the BCCI, Management, captain and the rest of the players will have to regroup. The issues of unrest will have to be put to an end by the management. I didn’t see a combined effort by the team in South Africa,” concluded Shoaib Akhtar.
