Daniel Vettori led the Kiwis in 28 T20Is. Under his captaincy, New Zealand won 13 and lost 13 and tied 2 matches. He was the skipper of the national side in the first 3 editions of the World T20 from 2007 to 2010. The left-arm spinner had a glorious career in all formats for his country and retired from international cricket after the 50-over World Cup final in 2015 in Melbourne against Australia which the home side won. Vettori’s 34 T20Is yielded 38 wickets at an average of 19.68 including the best spell of 4/20.
