We are looking for a highly driven and strategic Sales Manager to lead sales efforts in the sports media sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving advertising, sponsorship, and partnership revenues across digital, TV, print, and social media platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of sports media, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of closing high-value deals with brands and advertisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales plans to maximize revenue through sponsorships, advertising, and branded content in the sports media space.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and onboard new advertisers, sponsors, and brands while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Sponsorship & Partnership Development: Secure sponsorships for sports events, leagues, teams, and digital media platforms.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead contract negotiations with advertisers, agencies, and brands to secure high-value deals.
  • Market Research & Industry Trends: Stay updated on sports media trends, audience insights, and competitor activities to create innovative sales strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with content, marketing, and production teams to develop compelling advertising solutions.
  • Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking: Monitor sales metrics, track KPIs, and generate reports for strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in sales within the sports media industry, including digital, TV, OTT, and social media.
  • Strong network and relationships with brands, agencies, and advertisers in the sports sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on sports sponsorships and advertising.
  • Goal-driven mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sports sponsorship sales, influencer marketing, and programmatic advertising.
  • Understanding of audience engagement strategies in sports media and fan-based marketing techniques.
  • Familiarity with sports leagues, tournaments, and brand activations.
