Ramnaresh Sarwan was a player of the West Indies when they were one of the major teams in world cricket. He was a very good young prospect and lived up to his potential. He was fantastic in the Champions Trophy of 2004 where they won the tournament against all the odds.

Sarwan was fantastic with the bat for them then. He scored 166 runs at an average of 83. He also got 2 Man of the Match awards which eventually led to the Man of the Tournament award. His knock of 75 against South Africa was also an excellent one which laid the foundation for the rest of the tournament.
