The two teams are placed in Group A alongside India and Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Group B comprises four more teams - Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa. The Afghans are gearing up to compete in the Champions Trophy for the first time.
The previous edition of the Champions Trophy was held in 2017. Pakistan emerged victorious after beating India comprehensively in the final. This year, the matches will be hosted in Pakistan and the UAE. Therefore, even though conditions may be tough for the teams outside of the subcontinent, the Asian teams like Team India are surely looking forward to scoring quick runs. Having said it, the past editions of the Champions Trophy, some top players have show impeccable consistency with the bat by scoring fifties on multiple occasions.
The legendary Rahul Dravid has scored the most number of half-centuries in the history of the Champions Trophy. He has six half-centuries to his name. Among active cricketers, Virat Kohli leads the charts with five half-centuries to his name. He will look to add more in the upcoming edition.
