Chennai Super Kings to continue association with India Cements for IPL 2018
The news was confirmed by the franchise on its official Twitter page.
The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is still 3 months away but the anticipation and excitement surrounding it have already begun. The event promises to be bigger than ever, with two franchises- Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) set to make their return to the fray. In the buildup to a new decade of the cash-rich league, India Cements Limited will continue its association with the much-decorated franchise for next season.
CSK has a huge fan base due to their consistent performances over the first eight editions of the league. However, they were suspended for a couple of years for their alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal which broke through in 2013. They are set to make their comeback this year and have retained MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja in the recent player retention event.
The news was confirmed by the franchise on its official Twitter page. A statement confirming the deal said, “The India Cements Limited, a leading cement manufacturing company in the country and market leaders in south India, will continue their association with them going into the VIV0 2018 Indian Premier League season. #SummerIsComing #WhistlePodu”
