Cheteshwar Pujara replies to the heartwarming tweet from Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma will don the Indian colours again for the ODI series that begins on 12th January.

India’s triumph in the Test series against Australia would’ve been impossible without Cheteshwar Pujara in the mix. The number three batsman came in the first few overs on a majority of the time in the seven innings that he played. He never complained about the openers seeing off the tough phase and took the onus upon himself.

With his sheer determination and extreme level of patience, he batted for long hours and put up the big scores on the board. He put a price for his wicket and hardly let it go cheaply. These efforts saw him pile up a total of 521 runs in the series at an average slightly above 74. Also, Cheteshwar Pujara hit three centuries in the series including the highest score of 193. Thus, he was also named the ‘Man of the Series’.

Can’t wait to see the little one

After this splendid performance, Indian limited-overs vice-captain put up a special tweet for his mate. He warned everyone that they shouldn’t forget the heroics from ‘Che Pu’.

The ‘White Walker‘ replied to this heartwarming tweet and thanked Rohit for the same. He further wrote that he missed having the middle-order batsman during the celebrations in Sydney. Cheteshwar Pujara concluded by writing that he can not wait to meet Sharma’s newly-born daughter, Samaira. Rohit Sharma missed the fourth Test to attend his wife and daughter. He will be back for the ODI series and has already joined the squad.
