The Indian cricketers seem to be breaking all trends to set new ones. Last year, the cricketers had taken up the ‘Break The Beard’ challenge wherein they had trimmed and shaved off their beard. This year, they have started the ‘MOThanABeard’ challenge. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant are the most recent ones to join the trend. The MOThanABeard trend is about cleaning up the stubble and beard in order to let the moushtache have all the attention of the viewers.
It was Ravindra Jadeja who had started this trend a week ago. Now, his Saurashtra teammate, Cheteshwar Pujara, has also taken the challenge. It is ironical to see the Indian cricketers break the existing trends. Over the last couple of years, the month of November is often associated with ‘No Shave November’ tagline and the people tend to keep their beard growing in this month. But the cricketers seem to be setting new trends.
Cheteshwar Pujara, who is not usually someone to come up with flashy stuff on the social media, has also taken the challenge. He had a catchy tweet to go along with the video that he posted.
“Breaking the wall of ignorance this No Same November. This month is not about letting it go but owning your mo. Think #MOThanABeard #newlook #breakthebeard #WednesdayWisdom,” Cheteshwar Pujara wrote.

Young Pant joins the trend too
If the senior man of the team can do it, then why not the youngster? Young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant also took the challenge. He posted a video of the same on his Instagram handle. He sported a moush and a thin line of beard that continued from his side burns to his chin. This was quite creative from the Delhi batsman.
“Focusing on doing things right to make the next big step ,so can’t get November wrong. Be MOThanABeard#BreakTheBeard wat say @royalnavghan,” wrote Rishabh Pant.
