Bombastic Windies opening batsman Chris Gayle seldom misses out on an opportunity to entertain spectators and his fans, both on the field and off it. When wielding the cricket bat, there are few boundaries that can contain his monstrous hits that are usually caught in the crowd. When on song, Gayle has no interaction with the fielders on the ground. He deals in boundaries, and most often these are sixes that spend a bit too much airtime.
However, when he’s not on the field of play, the ‘Universe Boss’ makes sure his fans are entertained with his swagger and dazzling lifestyle. The latest in his bag of tricks to bring a smile on his fans faces is certainly unmatched. The veteran opening batsman took to Instagram to post a picture of himself posing on a police motorcycle in Mumbai.
In the photograph, Gayle can be seen thoroughly enjoying himself while seated on the fancy police vehicle. Meanwhile, the police officers, to whom the bike actually belonged, were standing behind him, clearly elated to have the big cricketer with them.
Grateful and thankful to India: Chris Gayle
The Jamaican also took this opportunity to genuinely express his love for India saying that he is grateful, thankful and loves the country. Gayle has been entertaining audiences across the country for a decade, with his swashbuckling batting in the star-studded IPL. For a long time, Gayle was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise, following which he moved to Kings XI Punjab.
The Mumbai Police on Wednesday had figured a novel way of congratulating the Indian captain Virat Kohli after he became the fastest cricketer to get to 10,000 runs in ODI cricket in Vishakhapatnam.
A tweet posted on Mumbai Police’s official Twitter handle read, “No over-speeding challan here, just accolades & best wishes for more @imVkohli ! Many congratulations on your amazing feat!” As expected, the tweet went viral within a matter of minutes and garnered more than 300 retweets and nearly 2,000 likes.
