Chris Gayle tries to mock Yuzvendra Chahal over a ripping delivery; backfires miserably
In the video, Chahal was seen, dismissing Martin Guptill.
Chris Gayle and Yuzvendra Chahal have played quite some years for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). It’s not much of a surprise that the duo shares a healthy camaraderie. Even as Gayle has moved to the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and is at the fag end of his career, Chahal has carved a niche for himself in the RCB. However, playing for different teams hasn’t affected their friendship.
Recently, Chahal uploaded a video from India’s third ODI against New Zealand at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui back in February 2020. Though the Men in Blue lost the contest, Chahal had a decent day as he picked up Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson and James Neesham’s wickets. But the delivery to get rid of Guptill, who was batting on 66, was an absolute peach, to say the least.
Chahal pitched the ball around middle that turned sharply past Guptill’s bat. The batsman played down the wrong line and saw his stumps shattered. It also ended the 106-run opening stand between Guptill and Henry Nicholls. Going down the memory lane, Chahal was a happy lot.
The tweaker from Haryana uploaded a short clip where he rattled Guptill’s woodwork without much of a fuss. He captioned the video and wrote, “This feeling 🇮🇳🇮🇳 #specialone,”

Gayle took it as a chance to troll Chahal. He said that the spinner had overstepped the front-line and a no-ball should have been called. The 40-year-old Jamaican-born replied to Chahal and wrote, “You overstepped the line, No ball!!! Umpire.”
Chahal didn’t die wondering after Gayle pulled his leg. Chahal replied to Gayle and wrote, “@chrisgayle333 haha uncle still last night effect?”

In that match, Chahal didn’t get much support from the others. Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur gave away a combined tally of 155 runs in 17.1 overs and the Black Caps chased down 297 with as many as 17 balls to spare. The home team also won the three-match series 3-0.
As far as Gayle is concerned, he last played for the Chattogram Challengers in the 2019-20 edition of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
