Collections of Sachin: A Billion Dreams until Wednesday 31st May

Sachin: A Billion Dreams gave Sachin Tendulkar fans yet another chance to relive the Master Blaster’s 24 years on the cricket field. His emergence, rise, the gloomy times and the glories have all been shown on the big screen. Although little to no unknown aspects of Sachin’s life are shown in the movie, it still leaves you asking for more when it ends. The mere presence of Sachin in the movie was enough for it to win hearts.
The docu-drama was well received by the fans and has been making some collection at the box office as well. Here’s how the movie has fared from the date of release until Wednesday. On Friday, the opening day it collected Rs. 8.60 cr. On Saturday it collected 9.20 cr and on Sunday 10.25 cr. The collections for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are 4.20 cr, 3.50 cr, and 3.05 cr respectively. The total collection until now, including all languages, has been Rs. 38.80 cr.
On Saturday, it showed decent growth from Friday and minted Rs. 9.20 crores. On Sunday, the last day of the weekend, the biopic took an even higher jump and grossed Rs. 10.25 crores. This has been collected from 2400 screens in India including the Hindi (₹24.45cr), English (₹0.42cr), Tamil (₹0.93cr), Telugu (₹1.05cr) and Marathi (₹1cr) versions. In foreign countries, Sachin: A Billion Dreams has 400 screens and has received a decent response.

Entering weekdays again, Sachin: A Billion Dreams faced a tad bit drop in its collections but it overtook the collection of Half Girlfriend, while Hindi Medium which released a week before the biopic and Baahubali 2 that released a month ago enjoy substantial lead due to their popularity.
Sachin fans loved the movie and have been to the stadium not just once but a lot of them organised special screenings for the biopic to reach out to the masses.
