As both the Indian and Australian teams geared up to face each other at Ranchi, there was yet another exciting contest in the middle. The commentators and the experts took on a challenge where they tried to replicate local boy MS Dhoni’s helicopter in his hometown.
Former cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Dean Jones, VVS Laxman and Brett Lee took turns to bat and face the bowling machine. Each of them tried to pull off the helicopter shot. While it was evident that no one could execute it with perfection it like Dhoni, they tried their best.
Former dashing opener Virender Sehwag, who was the first one to attempt, didn’t quite get on with the shot but got it over long on, which took a bounce before clearing the boundary. On the other hand, Deano and Laxman failed to get even close. Lee executed the MS Dhoni special better than most of them but the ball landed way ahead of the boundary.

The second T20 international game between both the teams is slated to take place at Guwahati on Tuesday. With Team India already leading 1-0 in the T20I series, they would be looking to seal the fate of the series. On the other hand, the Australians have a lot to look out for. Their middle order batting has been a huge concern and with the absence of Steve Smith, it keeps getting tougher. They’ll be looking to come back stronger and ensure the tour ends well.
