Wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia has emerged as one of the finest talents of the Indian women’s team. She announced her arrival on the international stage when she scored a half-century against Bangladesh in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 group fixture. Her knock was of prime importance as other batters failed to make an impact on the 22 yards in that contest.
The 21-year-old has not got many chances to shine in T20Is and Tests, but she has made the most of her opportunities in One Day Internationals to a certain extent, having amassed 402 runs from 16 WODIs, including three half-centuries in her first year at the highest level.
With Yastika Bhatia finding an honourable mention in the Indian women’s squad for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, she would be focusing on giving her best on the field should she get a chance against arch-rivals Pakistan.
