The fever of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is starting to settle all over the world as all the teams have started their preparations for the tournament. The cash-rich T20 league will enter in its new decade this year when Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will face off each other on April 7. The third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) was recently concluded as the tournament was at its best with most of the matches going down the wire.

However, there is always a debate if PSL is better than IPL or vice versa mostly among the fans between the two countries despite the fact that the Indian T20 league was started way back in 2008 while it was only the third season of PSL. Meanwhile, the quality of cricket on offer in both the leagues is high-class with some top international players being involved.

Here we bring to you the player by player comparison between some of the best players of IPL and PSL after three seasons.

Note: We have compared the best XI of IPL only until 2010 considering the fact that PSL is only three years old. The players have been picked purely based on their statistics.

1. Sachin Tendulkar vs Kamran Akmal

Sachin Tendulkar: The Master Blaster was at his peak during this period as he was amongst the top run-getters after three seasons despite missing half of the inaugural season of IPL due to injuries. Tendulkar had amassed 1170 runs in 35 matches at an amazing average of 37.32 with as many as 8 half-centuries to his name in first 3 seasons. He scored all these runs at a decent strike rate of 119.65 while featuring for Mumbai Indians and also led the side admirably well. Sachin also won the Orange Cap in 2010 when he was in the form of his life.

Kamran Akmal: He has been the highest run-getter of the tournament after three editions and displayed an excellent form with the bat especially in the recently concluded season. Akmal has scored 929 runs in 33 outings with the bat while donning the jersey of Peshawar Zalmi at a fantastic strike-rate of 133.28 even scoring a couple of centuries. He has also scored 6 fifties which proves his consistency in the tournament. Definitely, he is one of the most sought players of the league after scoring the abundance of runs.
