Complete conversation between Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja during their feud in Perth
Ishant and Jadeja were involved in a heated exchange on day 4 of the Perth Test.
On the fourth day of the recently-concluded second Test between Australia and India in Perth that the visiting team lost by 146 runs, two senior players from the team – Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja were seen caught in a heated conversation on the field. In a video released by the official broadcasters, both Ishant and Jadeja can be seen as pointing fingers at each other during a break in between overs.
Although the exact reason for the strong disagreement between the two is unknown it seems that Indian bowler was not happy with substitute all-rounder’s fielding position. The two were seen arguing with each other and waving their arms before coming face to face before being separated by teammates Mohammed Shami and the extra man on the field Kuldeep Yadav.
The broadcasters played the video on the fifth day of the Test match but were reluctant to release the audio along with it. However, stump mics picked up their conversation which was accessed by ESPNcricinfo.
Here’s the reported transcript of the heated conversation between Ishant and Jadeja:
Ishant: “Don’t wave at me, okay? If you need something…”
Ishant: “He is telling me from behind to go fast.”
Jadeja: “Even I don’t like it. I am also a part of the team. Why are you talking so much?”
Ishant: “Don’t wave at me. Don’t show me your anger. I will take your anger and shove it up your a**.”
Jadeja: “You keep yours to yourself.”
Ishant: “I will shove your anger up your a**.”
Jadeja: “Don’t give me this b******t.”
Ishant: “You also don’t talk to me.”
