CPL 2019: 5 lesser-known bowlers who can be useful picks in IPL 2020
These bowlers can keep a check on the runs and pick up wickets at crucial junctures as well.
Raymon Reifer
It was in late 2017 when West Indies went to New Zealand that Raymon Reifer came into the limelight. He made his Test debut but that was the only game he played for West Indies in the whites. Earlier this year, he made his ODI debut but again, played only a couple of games.
Reifer is the only bowler in this list who is not in the top 10 wicket-takers of the season. He is placed 16th as he has taken eight wickets from as many innings. He has an average of 24 and a strike-rate of 18. He may not have taken wickets in a heap but has constantly chipped here and there.
Thus, his left-arm pace and solid lower-order batting may attract attention in the IPL auction. He could be a pretty useful pick as a bowling all-rounder. Not to forget the ferocity with which he can smash the leather in the death overs. Reifer has already played a few cameos in this edition’s CPL.
