CPL 2019: 5 lesser-known bowlers who can be useful picks in IPL 2020
These bowlers can keep a check on the runs and pick up wickets at crucial junctures as well.
Kesrick Williams
It wasn’t too long ago when Kesrick Williams was one of West Indies’ bowling mainstays in white-ball cricket. In fact, his variations and ability to bowl well at the death was one of the reasons he was in the side. Moreover, his notebook celebration also gained attention.
However, in the last year or so, Williams has faded away. However, he has gone back to domestic cricket and has done well. He has also carried that form in the CPL where he played for the St Lucia Zouks. In what was a disappointing season for the Zouks, the 29-year-old pacer was one of the shining lights.
Williams played all 10 games this season and picked up 12 wickets at a strike-rate of 17.0. He used his variations well and batsmen did find it difficult to get him away at the death. Hence, he could be useful with his variations and death bowling skills.
