CPL 2021: Final squads of all the teams announced

The Caribbean Premier League 2021 is all set to begin on August 26 and the final squads of the six franchises have been announced. The tournament will be entirely played in St Kitts this time around. The only venue which has been selected is Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts, St. Kitts, and Nevis.
The latest announcement regarding the change of squad members was the addition of Yasir Shah to the Trinbago Knight Riders team. The Pakistan leg-spinner replaced Sandeep Lamicchane of Nepal in the final squad of the defending champions. Knight Riders have the services of Colin Munro, Isuru Udana and Tim Seifert as their overseas picks for this season.
Dwayne Bravo, who shifted to St Kitts and Nevis Patriots this season will team up with Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis. The franchise has signed Ravi Bopara, Paul van Meerekan, Fawad Ahmed, and Asif Ali as their overseas picks. Guyana Amazon Warriors, on the other hand, have a new captain in Nicholas Pooran. Shoaib Malik, Imran Tahir, and Mohammad Hafeez will return to the side while Waqar Salamkheil of Afghanistan will also feature for them.
Faf du Plessis to lead St Lucia Kings; Thisara Perera in Barbados Royals
The team from Barbados and St Lucia have had a makeover. After the acquisition by the brands of the IPL teams, Barbados has been named Royals while St Lucia has been named Kings. Barbados Royals have Thisara Perera, Mohammad Amir, Azam Khan, and Glenn Philips and they will be led by Jason Holder.
St Lucia Kings will be led by Faf du Plessis. Apart from the South African, they have Wahab Riaz, Usman Qadir, and Samit Patel as some of their other overseas stars. Jamaica Tallawahs have Haider Ali, Chris Green, Qais Ahmed along with West Indian stars like Carlos Brathwaite and Andre Russell.
The opening match will be played between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders. On the opening day of the tournament, fans will also witness a match between Barbados Royals and St Kitts and Nevis. Over the years, CPL has been a tremendous success and has provided entertaining cricket. The 2021 edition will be expected to do the same.
