Cricket 19: The much awaited official Ashes game is here!
Besides the core features, there are certain enhancements to look forward to in this official game version of the Ashes.
Last year the Big Ant Studios partnered with the England and Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia to make the first officially licensed Ashes cricket game. It was the biggest deal since the colossal Ashes Cricket 2013 by 505 Games. The game offered cricket in “a more realistic and authentic way than ever before”. This year, the Big Ant Studios has outdone themselves with the ‘Cricket 19’ upgradation.
Cricket 19 will reportedly feature every format of the international game, both the women’s and men’s teams. It will also include all host venues of events. The best part is that it is an officially licensed game of the Ashes, that’s played between England and Australia. Additionally, it will also feature a ‘scenario mode’ that allows players to recreate matches from the history of the sport, along with their own custom challenges. All of these combined will be shareable online.
This is the first time that the Cricket game anywhere at all, while on the move as well. Thanks to the Big Ant studios who are bearing Cricket 19 to the Nintendo Switch, allowing the players to play offline or online wheresoever they are.
To quote Big Ant Studios CEO Ross Symons, “We have the most active and passionate community. Many of our players logged thousands of hours with our previous cricket titles, and Cricket 19 is very much built on the experience of those players. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a 20-year cricket career that takes you from the club level to captaining the national team, re-create an ODI or IT20 series or take part in the Ashes, or just bash some balls around with friends, Cricket 19 has you covered.”
What enhancements to expect
Besides the core features, there are certain enhancements to look forward to in this official game version of the Ashes. The newly enhanced AI is said to be more realistic than ever as it will chalk out your team’s weaknesses, modify its bowling and batting manoeuvrings to target weaker players and actively look for clefts in the field. Moreover, it also works out the player’s bowling strategy should they happen to be well anticipated and go for the same things or follow a pattern of sorts. More like an extrapolation.
