3 Players to watch out for in PAK vs SA 1st Test

South Africa (SA) are all set to host Pakistan (PAK) as they continue the ongoing multi-format series after the conclusion of three ODI matches. Both sides will now take on each other across two Test matches. The first Test of the series will get underway on Thursday, December 26, at the SuperSport Park, in Centurion. 

Ahead of the series, there could be many players who could stand out and go on to be star performers for their respective sides in the 1st Test, and in this list, we will take a look at the top three players to watch out for in the PAK vs SA first Test.

3. Keshav Maharaj

Star South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj could be a player that Pakistan will look to watch out for in the first Test of the series. Keshav Maharaj has been in impeccable form for the Proteas in the longest format in 2024, and his presence in the side for the first Test would be highly beneficial for the Proteas. 

In his last six matches, Maharaj has managed to take 35 wickets to his name and has maintained an economy of 2.77 runs. South Africa will depend a lot on Maharaj and hope for the best of performances from the star spinner in the first Test of the series.
