Sachin Tendulkar is deemed as the greatest figure in the cricketing world due to his massive batting records in international cricket. In his 24 years of international career, the legendary cricketer played a lot of Test cricket against competitive teams and performed incredibly well against all of them. In the longest form of the sport, the Little Master scored 15,921 runs with 51 centuries in 200 matches, at a swashbuckling average of 53.78. With these numbers, he earned the title God of Cricket and established massive records that are unbreakable to date.

Looking at the statistics of current batters who are big names in Tests, it won’t be wrong to say that currently, no cricketer can shatter the colossal record of Tendulkar’s 51 centuries in Tests. However, in the future, we could see these batting maestros scoring 40+ centuries in red-ball cricket, which could be considered going close to the God of Cricket's achievement. Below are the names who are favourites to go near Sachin Tendulkar's record of 51 Test centuries

5. Marnus Labuschagne (10)

Marnus Labuschagne has been playing Test cricket for Australia since 2018. So far, he has been excellent with the bat by amassing 3041 runs with 10 centuries in just 30 games at an average of 60.82. This year, he has looked at his best by scoring 927 runs in nine matches at a stellar average of 61.80.

Noticing his current record and age, it can be said that it’s unlikely for the 28-year-old to break Tendulkar’s record of most Test centuries. However, going through his consistent performances and ability in red-ball cricket against big teams, there are chances of him going close to the God of Cricket’s record of 51 tons.

With these Test figures, Labuschagne has grabbed a lot of attention to become a massive Test batter in the future. If he keeps up his form in the coming years too, he could score 40+ centuries in Test cricket and join the league of the greatest Test batters which Tendulkar has created with 51 tons.
