3. Deepak Hooda
The 27-year-old batter is creating highlights whenever he is getting chances in the starting eleven. But once again he failed to make the eleven in the last two matches in the Asia Cup. India started with Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik in finisher's role against Pakistan and with Pant and Karthik in the last match against Hong Kong. But now Jadeja out injured, Hooda is in prime position to make his Asia Cup debut on Sunday.
Hooda has scored 274 in just nine T20I matches at an impressive average of 54.8 and a strike rate of 161.17 so far. He has proved his game-finishing skills on many occasions and his ability to bowl makes him an ideal replacement of Jadeja.
If Hooda replaces Jadeja in the starting eleven then Hardik can be used as primary bowler. But Indian batting lineup is looking strong with the return of Virat Kohli, who is leading the scoring charts in the tournament with 94 runs in two matches. Chahal has failed to take any wickets and Avesh Khan is struggling for consistency in the UAE so far. So, the Indian management is likely to replace Jadeja with a specialist spinner.
