5. Shakib Al Hasan (BAN)
Owing to Bangladesh's consecutive defeats, players did not get enough chance to showcase their full potential. The first two matches were the most important to stay in the tournament but the team collapsed. Shakib Al Hasan has been the most prominent Bangladeshi player.
His mere presence heightens the cricketing spirit of Bangladesh's side. In the only two matches he had played, he scored 35 runs. His average strike rate remained just over 110.
The all-rounder went wicketless against Sri Lanka and bagged one against Afghanistan. While he was fairly economical with the ball, Shakib couldn't do well with the bat and was one of the reasons why Bangladesh struggled.
