The DP World International League T20 (ILT20 2025) finally came to an end after 34 intense and exciting games. After a month of entertainment, the Sam Billings-led Dubai Capitals (DC) emerged victorious. Throughout the competition, many performances grabbed the eyeballs with their brilliance on the field.

Capitals lifted their maiden ILT20 title, defeating Desert Vipers (DV) by four wickets in a thrilling final clash, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, on Sunday, February 9. The experienced star players, Rovman Powell and Sikandar Raza played an important role in guiding the side to chase down 190 successfully.

Batting first, Vipers had a poor start as Obed McCoy struck early, dismissing Alex Hales and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Max Holden counter-attacked with a fifty off 32 balls. Captain Sam Curran then took the lead, smashing 62 off 28 deliveries, supported by Azam Khan’s late flourish, which guided the side to 189/5.

IN reply, DC’s chase got off to a rocky start as they were struggling at 39/3 in the powerplay. Powell and Shai Hope revived the innings with a crucial partnership. Powell, who survived a close stumping call, capitalized on his luck, scoring 63 off 38 balls. Raza sealed the win with a series of boundaries, finishing with a six and four in the final over.
