2. Liam Livingstone
Liam Livingstone departed for a silver duck and a 14-ball 13 score in the first couple of games, respectively. He has not been provided much opportunity to express himself with the ball as well. The explosive batter has only scored a single boundary in the ongoing series up until now.
To put things into perspective, Livingstone has not been his usual all-round self for quite some time now. Before the series, he was involved with the Bangla Tigers and Pretoria Capitals in the Abu Dhabi T10 and the SA20, respectively. In both the tournaments, his performances were nothing more than mediocre. Having been a part of 57 T20Is and close to 300 T20s in his career at present, the experienced professional's performance would be vital for the English unit to have any probability of staging a comeback.

1. Jos Buttler
The English white-ball skipper, Jos Buttler, has been the only bright spark for England in the two games played so far. In the first game, he scored a brisk 44-ball 68 and was quite literally a one-man army against a bubbly Indian bowling unit; which was four times the second-highest run-scorer in that innings. On a tricky top in Chennai, he was once again his side's top-scorer.
With the surface in Rajkot expected to be quite a handful for spinners to operate on, Buttler performing with the bat would be of utmost importance for his side. Being the only person who has looked set, his knock would be crucial in determining the outcome of the game. His outing with the bat would also be crucial for the others to gain much-needed inspiration.
