Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be hosting bottom-placed Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday, April 24. Sunrisers enter the game after a heavy seven-wicket defeat against Chennai Super Kings in their last match while Delhi recorded their first-ever win in IPL 2023 with a four-wicket triumph over Kolkata Knight Riders.

Focusing on Sunrisers Hyderabad, the team registered two back-to-back defeats after recovering from an early struggle this season. They were restricted to just 134/7 while batting first against Chennai with Abhishek Sharma top-scoring with 34 off 26. The youngster opened the innings with Harry Brook while Mayank Agarwal was demoted to an unprecedented no.6.

However, despite his new batting position, Mayank's disappointing streak in IPL 2023 continued as he returned another low score against CSK and the player is likely to be under pressure to perform in the upcoming game. In bowling, in-form spinner Mayank Markande took two wickets but couldn't stop Chennai from successfully chasing down the 135-run target. Umran Malik returned to the playing eleven after missing the previous game but was not able to make an impact. However, the hosts are unlikely to tinker with their playing eleven for their game against Delhi Capitals, which could see T Natarajan missing out again.

Here is Sunrisers Hyderabad's Predicted Playing XI against Delhi Capitals:

Openers: Harry Brook, Abhishek Sharma

Harry Brook started well against Chennai Super Kings as he scored 18 off 13 balls but could not convert it into a big knock. He has scored just 27 runs since smashing the first IPL century of the 2023 edition against Kolkata Knight Riders. Brook has scored 156 runs from six innings at a strike rate of 136.84 so far and needs to contribute more in the upcoming games.

Abhishek Sharma top-scored with 34 off 26 balls against Chennai as the other batters struggled for runs on Chennai's bowling-friendly surface. Abhishek, the leading run-getter for Hyderabad last season, played in the middle order against Mumbai in the previous game but was promoted up the order to open against Chennai. He is likely to open again in the upcoming game with Brook, as Mayank Agarwal could be struggling for good starts.

Rahul Tripathi scored run-a-ball 21 against Chennai in the last game as the experienced batter has amassed just 37 runs in his last three innings. His best knock in IPL 2023 came against Punjab Kings where he smashed 74 off 48 balls to guide Hyderabad to their first win of the season.

Aiden Markram scored 12 runs and conceded 11 runs off his one-over spell against Chennai in the last game. Markram has been in excellent form for Sunrisers since his promotion to the captain's role this season. He has scored 121 runs from five innings at a strike rate of 157.04 with one fifty so far.

Heinrich Klaasen scored 17 off 16 deliveries against Chennai in the last match as he struggled for the big shots in the slog overs. The wicketkeeper batter smashed 36 off 16 against Mumbai Indians and 16 off six against Kolkata Knight Riders to keep Glenn Phillips on the bench.

Mayank Agarwal, who cost INR 8.25 crore, played in the no.6 position against Chennai in the last game following his poor outings at the top of the lineup. But, the outcome remained the same as he scored just two runs to continue his poor run in IPL 2023. Mayank has scored just 115 runs from six innings so far at a poor strike rate of 106.48.

All-rounders: Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen

Washington Sundar's struggle continues as he endured another poor outing with both bat and ball against Chennai. He scored just nine runs before getting run out and then failed to get any wickets with the ball. Washington will be feeling the heat as he is yet to pick a wicket in IPL 2023 despite bowling in all six games so far and has scored only managed to score 36 runs with the ball.

Compared to Sundar, Marco Jansen has been a bit more impactful with his all-round show so far. The South African youngster remained unbeaten and scored 17 runs against CSK with the help of one boundary. However, with the ball, Jansen had a poor show as he conceded 37 runs in three overs at an economy of 12.3 runs per over. Jansen has scored 30 runs from two innings and is the leading pace-bowling wicket-taker for Hyderabad in IPL 2023 with six wickets from four innings so far.

Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, Mayank Markande

Bhuvneshawar Kumar was excellent against Chennai in the last game as he conceded just 10 runs off his two-over spell but surprisingly didn't complete his bowling quota. Bhuvneshwar has been impressive with economical spells in the last few games but has managed to take just four wickets from six innings so far.

Umran Malik returned to the playing eleven after getting benched for the game against Mumbai Indians. The young speedster was economical with the ball as he conceded 18 runs off his three-over spell but failed to claim any wickets. Umran has taken just five wickets from five innings and has proven to be costly with an economy rate of 10.00 in IPL 2023.

Mayank Markande produced another sensational spell as he took two wickets while conceding just 5.8 runs per over against Chennai in the last game. Despite missing the opening two games, the 25-year-old leggie has been the best bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season with eight wickets from four innings at an economy rate of 6.25.
