After a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders in their last match, Sunrisers Hyderabad will next take on Rajasthan Royals in order to keep their hopes alive to qualify for the IPL 2023 playoffs. Notably, Harry Brook’s poor run of form is a major talking point at the moment, as the team management can think of dropping him from the playing XI. Other than that, players like Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi are not in form as well, and thus, the team management has a lot of issues to deal with at the moment.

Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen’s form, meanwhile, will boost their confidence ahead of the Rajasthan game. Bowlers, meanwhile, will hope to get better as especially when Rajasthan batters are not in form at the moment. Meanwhile, will SRH make any changes to their squad for the next game? Likely so. Who can they be? Let’s dissect

Here's Sunrisers Hyderabad's predicted XI against Rajasthan Royals

Openers: Abhishek Sharma and Mayank Agarwal

Youngster Abhishek Sharma is struggling with the bat at the moment. In seven matches so far, The SRH opener has managed to score only 148 runs. Even though he is batting with a good strike rate, Sharma’s consistency has been a major issue. In order to get back on track, SRH will depend a lot on his batting.

Meanwhile, his opening partner Mayank Agarwal is not on song. In nine matches so far, the 32-year-old has scored only 187 runs. His strike rate, too, is a major point of discussion, and nothing seems to be working well for the cricketer. Mayank will definitely have to improve; otherwise, the franchise will be tempted to release him ahead of the next edition, as they have spent a lot of money in order to sign him in the IPL auction.

Middle Order: Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Glenn Phillips, Heinrich Klaasen (wk)

Rahul Tripathi, too, isn’t in good form. In the 2022 edition, Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi helped SRH win some matches, but this season, none of them are firing at the moment. Tripathi so far has managed to score 190 runs in nine matches, and that doesn’t justify the kind of talent he possesses. Maybe with one good knock, the flamboyant batter can hit the ground running.

Skipper Aiden Markram is doing his bit, but that apparently isn’t enough. The South African international has managed to score only 173 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 128.14. With too many wickets falling from one end, pressure is creeping up, and he is not able to deliver. However, in Jaipur, where the pitch is likely to favour spinners, Markram can do well as he is good against them.

Meanwhile, Glenn Phillips may come in place of Harry Brook in the upcoming match. Brook, who is in poor form at the moment, has managed to score only 163 runs in nine matches, and thus, the team management will be tempted to bring in Phillips, who can score some quick runs, just like Heinrich Klaasen.

The South Africa stumper-batter has managed to score 189 runs in seven matches at a striker rate of 181.73. He is on song at the moment, and thus, it will be difficult for Rajasthan Royals to stop the juggernaut.

All-rounders: Marco Jansen

Marco Jansen played really well in SRH’s last match against Kolkata Knight Riders. The South Africa international picked up two wickets, conceding 24 runs in three overs. He was brilliant with the new ball, and SRH will hope that he can keep up with the same brand of cricket. Meanwhile, with the bat, the 23-year-old has failed to deliver, and that remains to be one of the concerns at the moment.

Bowlers: Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kartik Tyagi, T Natarajan

Spinner Mayank Markande is playing really good cricket at the moment. So far, the spinner has picked up 11 wickets in seven matches and with that, he is currently 13th in the IPL Purple Cap race. Thus, in a spin-friendly track, Markande will be key for the Hyderabad-based franchise in the coming match.

When it comes to the pace trio of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kartik Tyagi and T Natarajan, it will be difficult for them at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, but given Bhuvneshwar and Natarajan’s experience, SRH will back their chances. Karthik Tyagi, meanwhile, has to improve after conceding 30 runs in just two overs against KKR.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Probable Playing 11:

Mayank Agarwal, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Harry Brook, Marco Jansen, Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kartik Tyagi, T Natarajan

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Probable Impact Players:

Harry Brook, Adil Rashid, Abdul Samad, Umran Malik, and Sanvir Singh
