The Aiden Markram-led side currently sits second from the bottom of the IPL 2023 points table. SRH do not have so many concerns in their batting line-up as of now. However, the bowlers must be more cautious in their forthcoming encounters. Moreover, SRH will be eliminated from the playoff race if they suffer a defeat against the defending champions. Will SRH make any changes to their squad for the next game? Let’s dissect

Here's Sunrisers Hyderabad's predicted XI against Gujarat Titans

Openers: Anmolpreet Singh, Abhishek Sharma

SRH opener Anmolpreet Singh got a place in the playing XI following Mayank Agarwal's poor outing with the bat. Anmolpreet has amassed 100 runs in three innings at an average of 33.33 and a strike rate of 128.20. In the previous encounter against LSG, he scored 36 off 27 deliveries, including seven boundaries. He is likely to improve his power-hitting skills in the upcoming matches of SRH.

Abhishek Sharma has been crucial for SRH at the top order in most of the matches. He amassed 210 runs from nine matches which included two half-centuries. Notably, he hasn't been able to score as many runs in the previous match.

Middle Order: Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (c), Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Glenn Phillips

Rahul Tripathi didn't score as many runs this season as he is capable of. He has scored 257 runs from 11 matches at an average of 25.70 and a strike rate of 19.14 and is the second-highest run-scorer of SRH. He scored one half-century and was dismissed for a duck once.

Skipper Aiden Markram also failed to score in most of SRH's matches. The South African has scored only 207 runs from 10 matches, including one half-century. His highest score was a 26-ball 50 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in which SRH won by 23 runs.

Heinrich Klaasen has been crucial for SRH in the middle order. He is the leading run-scorer of Hyderabad this season, scoring 262 runs, including a fifty from nine innings. In SRH's previous encounter against LSG, he played a crucial knock despite missing the half-century for just three runs.

Glenn Phillips played a quick-fire match-defining knock against Rajasthan Royals and notched up 25 runs off just seven deliveries. Notably, he has featured only in three games so far this season. After a poor outing in the previous game, he would be hoping to repeat the heroics in the upcoming game.

All-rounders: Abdul Samad

Abdul Samad has performed well in the lower order for SRH so far this season. He has scored 167 runs from seven innings. In the previous clash, he scored an unbeaten 37 off 25 balls and helped SRH to post a reasonable target (182) for LSG. His knock was studded with one boundary and four sixes.

Bowlers: T Natarajan, Mayank Markande, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Fazalhaq Farooqi

T Natarajan is an important player of the Sunrisers Hyderabad unit. The pacer hasn't impressed with the ball like the previous years as he has only taken eight wickets in 10 games for a dismal economy of 9.24, thus his performance hasn't been up to par. He has, however, excelled for SRH in the death overs in almost all of the games.

Mayank Markande has come up as the most successful bowler for SRH as he is the leading wicket-taker of the Aiden Markram-led side. The 25-year-old leg spinner has picked 12 wickets from nine matches at an economy of 7.80. He also picked a wicket in the previous match, dismissing LSG keeper-batter Quinton de Kock. Notably, Hyderabad's performance in the upcoming matches will be dependent on his performance as well.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the most experienced and skillful bowlers in the SRH squad. However, he hasn’t been at his best so far this season. In addition, he is the second-highest wicket-taker for SRH, as he picked nine wickets from 11 matches at an economy of 8.23.

Afghan cricketer Fazalhaq Farooqi has done well so far this season. Notably, he has only appeared in SRH's three matches and has taken three wickets at an economy rate of 8.32. Considering his abilities, captain Aiden Markram is unlikely to lose faith in the Afghan bowler and is likely to include him in the line-up for the upcoming matches.
